DESCRIPTION OF PLANS
Flat Energy Plan- Dual fuel (electricity and natural gas), natural gas or electricity plans
- Your natural gas and/or electricity prices will be fixed throughout the length of your plan

- Reduce the impact you have on the environment by ensuring a portion of your electricity consumption is produced through renewable sources
- Minimize your environmental impact by offsetting the carbon dioxide emitted through your natural gas use
- For each residential customer we purchase and retire credits representing 15% (1,080 kWh) of the typical annual residential customer electricity consumption
- Direct Energy purchases and retires certified carbon emission credits equivalent to 100% (121 GJ) of the carbon emissions produced by the average yearly residential consumption of natural gas

Five-year Dual Fuel Flat plan:
Electricity 9.99¢/kWh Natural Gas $7.99/GJ
Receive a $20 annual rebate on the anniversary date of your dual fuel contract term for five years.
Open Flex Dual Fuel plan:

*The electricity flow-through price is based on the hourly power pool price with additional charges to account for line losses, unaccounted for energy and administrative fees.
**The natural gas flow-through price is based on daily wholesale market prices in Alberta with additional charges to reflect transportation charges and administrative fees.
Five-year Seasonal Dual Fuel plan:
Electricity 9.99¢/kWh Natural Gas Flow-through price** from April 1 to September 30

Please note the rates above do not include transmission, distribution, administration, local access fees, GST or other charges. As a result, the cost of the "delivered" energy would be higher. Typically, these costs make up an additional 40 to 50 per cent of the energy charges for the average residential single family dwelling.
